Aboriginal tribes in Australia have used tea tree's oil healing qualities for thousands of years. It was used to soothe skin and heal cuts. Tea tree oil is a powerful weapon against acne. Tea tree oil was found to be as effective against acne as benzoyl peroxide, which is commonly used as anti-acne medication. Tea tree oil also contains antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
